Mel Komus is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, who work focuses on landscape, nature & wildlife photography.
A little bit about Mel:
Mel attended the University of Regina and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Distinction prior to pursuing her passion for photography.
After taking an Intro DSLR weekend course, and finally learning how to properly use that expensive camera, she was completely hooked. Since then Mel has been trying to take as many photos as possible. To further pursue photography Mel enrolled in the New York Institute of Photography’s Professional Photography Course and graduated in November 2015.
In her spare time Mel volunteer’s with Prairie Sky Dog Rescue and is also an on-shore volunteer with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. In December 2013, Mel joined Sea Shepherd Conservation Society for Operation Infinite Patience as a Cove Guardian in Taji, Japan.
